About Me

Hi fellow bloggers. I'm learning how to do this whole blog thing. I'm a bit older which means that my kids want to help me put this together. I'm too afraid of what they will post so here I go. A little about me; I have graduated with a bachelors degree in business from Ball State University and I am now attending IUPUI to earn a certificate in elementary education. I chose this drastic change in careers because I wanted to come home each night and feel like I have made a difference. I've quit my job as Regional Director of Sales and I am now grinning from ear to ear as I walk through campus with my backpack. : ) It is awesome to know what you will be when you grow up. I wish all of you younger students the best in early discovery. Look forward to hearing from you all soon.

Chicken Chuck

Hello everyone!

I decided to read a book to my grandkids for my podcast.  I'm really excited that we learned how to do this.  I will use this a lot with them and even as a teacher.  Have fun!

Chicken Chuck

I created my podcast using Audacity, as I am sure most of you did.  I thought that it was so easy.  However, I found it difficult to figure out which LAME MP3 link to download.  I ended up just doing it on my desktop because I wasn't real comfortable using the beta version that was created for Windows 7.  Please let me know how it worked for you guys.  In all, I still found the step by step instructions to be very thorough.  I then moved on to my next challenge, uploading it to my blog.  After some research, I decided to use Podbean.com to host my podcast.  I will paste a screen shot below to show you how I uploaded my podcast.  I certainly recommend this free software.  Literally, you are simply taking your podcast in audacity that was saved as an mp3 and uploading into Podbean.  I will definitely continue using this software.  I am so excited that I learned how to do all of this and I look forward to using it in my classroom.  http://www.podbean.com/podbean-quick-start#Publishing
